So a bunch of us have seen these guys Hypnotic Brass (from Chicago) playing around NYC subways over the past few years. They are great. We came across this video of theirs, it's just a great piece of cinematography and we wanted to share it with you all!

Two shows this weekend! Plus Interview Video

Hey there!

        We're playing two shows this weekend, in Philly and in Edison, NJ. Are you coming? In the meantime, check out this clip of the interview we did with Y-Rock last weekend in Philly. The final radio version will air on June 27.

Getting Creative in the Studio - Jams, and a New Song Clip

There was something in the air this past weekend in Philly at Y-Rock - the studio was amazing, the people were amazing, and things just felt great. Creative juices were flowing, and as everyone warmed up, Ankur started playing this great salsa riff on his percussion, and everyone else soon joined in:

But that wasn't all - the night before the taping, Avir sent us all a demo track, tentatively called "I'm a Red Light." The song, which has yet to be finished, sounds like nothing we've ever made. Keeping those juices flowin' in Philly, Ahmed suddenly started playing a riff from the song, and we got what followed on camera:

Anyway, we've got even more exclusive videos to come this week, and the radio show airs on Y-Rock and online June 27th (Saturday).

       Since we are down in India, we haven't played shows in the US in some time. We'd love to be able to play in two places at once but the technology hasn't been created yet... so we're doing th next best thing. Coming soon, we're going to be featuring a special webcast of our show from Piano's (in NYC) this past January. It'll be accessible via our blog and also on "Ustream.tv" --so keep your eyes peeled! And don't worry if you miss it, we'll be rebroadcasting it a few times. 

We'll be having a "test" broadcast tonight at 8pm EST featuring one or two of the highlights from the show... the full show will follow soon!
